Time Taken: At the very minimum, twenty hours.
Materials Used: yarns (blue-multi 4ply, yellow, gold), duct tape, rings, paper core, extension cord
Stitches used: Navajo/Figure Eight (yellow), Lazy Squall (blue), Mariposa (duct tape)

This was done in a little over two weeks as my first assignment for weaving. The goal was to get familiar with materials and the craft in general using different shaping and weaving techniques and playing with color and materials. Despite the heavy mistakes in the beginning, I'm fairly pleased with the turn out. Especially since this was the first basket I have ever made.

Rufus San Says:

I know it's a basket, but, I think that'd make a really cool hat.
The right side (from my view) looks absolutely flawless!
...Still looks pretty cool to wear, though!

Rieal Dragonsbane Says:

Pretty! :)

Kiwi Joy Says:

I agree with Rufus, that would be an awesome hat
The yellow is very bright and goes nicely with the blue, and then the blue goes well with the silver. The silver also calms down the yellow so it doesn't look like a hippy-hat. *shot*
I wove a basket out of paper once. Yeah.
