This is a gift for Goldenwolf
Her art has inspired me to become a better artist, and is the biggest influence in my art. She is an amazing person and I hope to meet her one day. There was originally going to be more to this picture, but the rest didn't quit turn out. The perspective may seem a bit off... but she is supposed to be on a hill (dark part) and the rest is far in the background. I didn't really color it properly :(
Here Goldenwolf draws an image of the sun into the dirt before her, hoping that her wish for the sun to shine through the clouds will come true. She holds her other hand out hoping to feel some warm rays of sunshine. I wasn't sure if she was right or left handed so I used the hand closest to the viewer. Her eyes didn't quite turn out, they were supposed to be looking down, but instead she has a moment of contemplation I suppose
Colored pencil on sketchbook paper - took about 5 hrs.
I have to say gold is a tough color to color...
