The inhabitants of the broken world Shernabolg worship a pair of deities. While their minds may be primitive, they have developed a sense of the spiritual world and express that in the worship of Sable and Livna.
This is Sable, god of the sun and life in Shernabolg. His mask changes with the passing time of the day from a pale rosy color for morning, yellow for day, and a brilliant array of yellow, orange, red, violet, and gold for dusk. With his bride the moon goddess Livna, these two watch over the many inhabitants of their world.

There's something just completely enchanting about this. I love the old and wisened yet mirthful and mischievous look of his face and posture, and that he isn't depicted in only warm colors.
