Sheep Dog
The fire crackled as another log was given to it, the flames eating it up like it was some sort of tasty treat. Ian sat there watching it, the glow from the fire outlining his strong features perfectly and clearly like the knight he was. He gave a soft chuckle at the thought of him being a knight, well...he was a knight but not the good kind, he was the knight that everyone was scared of. He gave a soft sigh before running his hand through his shaggy black hair, his grayish eyes watching the flames carefully before he got up.
Soon they traveled away from the flames to the other side seeing Anthony bundled up in a heavy blanket to protect him from the night's air. He gave a soft smile at him before moving over to where he lay and sat down. Slowly he reached out brushing some of Anthony's blond hair away from his soft features.
Anthony was a sweet kid, stupid and stubborn, but sweet. He pulled his hand away quickly when he watched him turning a bit onto his side, an eye opening, Ian wouldn't admit it but he had amazing blue eyes. Watching quietly, he moved his arm to his side as the boy woke up and sat up slightly, Anthony reached up wiping the sleep from his eyes.
The prince sat up, stretching out and giving a small yawn. His sky blue eyes gazed over to the figure sitting next to him, "oh Ian, you still awake?" he asked though he should have been use to it. Ian was always the lookout when night covered the land, casting the villagers into a deep sleep.
Ian nodded, "I was thinking...guess it kept me up longer then normal" he replied. His voice sounded rough and low from the lack of sleep. Giving a yawn, he ran his hand along through his shaggy black hair messing it slightly.
Anthony couldn't help but giggling, the knight reminded him so much of a sheep dog at times. Mostly when they bathed in the lake, because Ian would dive under the water and came back up shaking his head like a dog. "Sheep dog" he said slightly muttering to himself with a faint flush across his face.
The knight peered over at him, with a slight frown on lips. "What do you mean sheep dog?" he asked leaning his face close to the prince's. Anthony was always calling him sheep dog, but he could never see why he would call him that. "How am I like a dog?".
Stopping his giggling, the boy looked over at him. The knight's features looking a bit hard like stone, that only made him smile. "Easy you have shaggy hair like one", going on his knees he reached up running his slim fingers through Ian's thick black hair.
Ian sat there watching him, feeling his hands tangle in his hair. Anthony soon stopped after realizing how close their faces were to one another, the flush growing redder along his face. "Oh! I'm sorry...I shouldn't have done that" he said sounding a bit nervous, slowly he pulled his hands out of the tangled mess.
Watching him, strong hands reached out grabbing the prince's lithe wrists holding them in place. "No you shouldn't have" he said, a playful grin on his lips instead. Leaning in the knight licked the tip of Anthony's nose, pulling away he grinned more, "sheep dog eh?" he asked.
Anthony tried his best to hide how embarrassed he was, but it was hard when your face was the color of a beet. He pulled his hands away from Ian's strong grip, "umm...that was...", Anthony was speechless about how he should comment to that. "Sorry" he said lowering his head in shame, he gave a soft sigh when a strong hand gripped his chin tilting it up. His blue eyes widened as they locked with Ian's stone cold stare, "huh?!".
The knight held his chin lightly, which shocked the prince somewhat. "You don't have to say sorry kid" he said lowly, their faces only inches apart at this time. Ian smiled a bit at him before resting his forehead against Anthony's. "alright?" he asked.
Blinking he watched him before flushing a beet color again, "umm...yes...alright I won't", he wanted to look away. Badly he did but there was something about Ian that made his heart flatter.
Ian grinned watching him, trying to hold back a small laugh. "Your cute you know that, so just relax", he watched Anthony before leaning in closer unsure but did it anyway. He knew that they were world's apart but something about him made him feel like he should be protecting the prince. He could feel his lips touching Anthony's, they felt soft and warm changing his stone cold touch little by little.
Blinking, he flushed even more feeling his heart beating twenty times faster but slowly melted into. Anthony had so many thoughts running through his head mostly about Ian, he was an amazing person, not mean as the stories made him seem. He felt Ian pulling away resting his forehead against his again, the prince couldn't help but grin.
His hand still held his cheek, thumb rubbing the soft skin. Ian grinned before leaning in licking the prince's nose quickly, pulling away he smiled at him.
Anthony looked at him, a smile glued on his lips. "Oh sheep dog" he said chuckling lightly.
