Another one chalked up for the Stellar Frontier project.
One more to go after this.
For this particular piece I all but threw out nearly everything from the original SF-6 midi. Save some of the prime melody, and even that got vastly altered because this track is in a completely different Key and much slower BPM.
Instead, I wanted to go for a feel of Orinoco Flow by Enya, so I snapped up a midi for that and went to town canibalizing things, splicing in and out, and developing something that feels like coasting through the solar system with a huge light sail.
All in all, the song is eight minutes and thirteen seconds long, the longest track that's going to be on Stellar Frontier REBUILT. It has a bit of a repiticious pattern to it, but I made certain that no sequence is exactly the same as the previous. You'll find the first verse relies on woodwinds. Then the building segment comes in, then a piano solo and the chorus. The second verse has voice for instrumentation with some brief hits on the woodwinds and brass, and a string apreggio tossed in to add to the mix. The most 'enya' like part of the track will be during the chorus, where it comes very close to the pattern for Orinoco Flow. (But not quite, I did a lot of re-arranging. Can't have blatent copies of a song now can we?)
For a few things, I've applied some stuff I learned from my uncle from the collab work and several hours spent talking. I've applied samples he's allowed me to use from his M-AUDIO collection. Quite some wonderful components, you'll hear them in the opening and one of them constantly.
In my quest to get an Enya feel for this track, I actually managed to appropriate the Roland D50 number thirteen sample 'Pizzagogo'. Which is what was actually used in Orinoco Flow.
All in total, I think the song sounds good, and will blend well with a space game while you're busy doing cosmos things.

This song has an appropriate title. :nods: It's very "flowly" and sounds like something travel and discover to. Great work!

Amazing work! It's got an epic flavor to it, just as I have come to expect from your music, and which befits a space setting, yet it's got something else to it, something more sailing-like. I dunno, I suck at comments and words and vocabulary and talking. . . so what everyone above said.
