A little while ago I mentioned maybe spending some of my downtime drawing up pages of a Final Fantasy IV fancomic that basically retold the whole story of the game from start to finish, with some additional background material thrown in the better flesh out the past lives of Kain, Rosa and Cecil as children. Shortly after producing the script for issue one, Final Fantasy IV DS was announced and I decided to put it off and see what that game added. So now I've played it through I've sat down to do some work on it to see how it goes. This is a page from an early scene flashbacking the day Cecil watched Cid's prototype airship's virgin flight, and starting his passion for flight. Pictured with him is a young Kain (pre-emo).

That reminds me of something my brother would do. I'd be on a camping trip or something looking over the side of a mountain and my brother would suddenly grab my shoulders and say "don't fall off!". Scare me to death.
