Sound of the ancient drum - Chapter 06.

After the mournful hours Typhoon started to give the last respect for his kind. He brought home the corpses of the dead warriors, cleaned off the blood from their body and fixed their wounds.

In the end of the village was the marsupial wolves’ ancient cemetery that they dig into a cave. Typhoon dragged there his mates and settled them next to each other. He exactly knew who was whose pair, he folded their hand with each others to meet again in the death, onto their chests he placed flowers and small presents.

He gave the biggest honor for chieftain Ehona and for River. In the battle the nagas cut off the tiger-chief’s head and outraged him. Typhoon cleaned the head from the dirt and connected with the body again. Like an epic chief, he buried Ehona in full of warrior clothes and stuff, be proud in the otherworld too. He gave so many flowers and jewelries to River’s grave. Things that was so important to her and she loved.

At least Typhoon chiseled ancient words around the wall: Amerthanii centhe’n dome, tibertyni ava Thalan rhuviel. „Here resting the brave wolves of Thalan whose faced against the death.”

After he finished the tiger locked the entrance of the cave with a huge rock to nobody disturb the dead ones’ rest, then he silently remembered for his beloveds for a couple of minutes. Meanwhile his heart slowly filled up with rage and bitter.

“They… they will regret this!” hissed through his fangs Typhoon and clenched his fist “I’ll revenging the death of my clan! I destroy the nagas and get back the children. I promise!” then he howled sending his promise to the gods.

“I promise I recover everything, River. I’ll take back the children” whispered then turned away and left the place, never looked back.

The whole village was died nothing sounded. In the next moment a person appeared on the street with a flash. It was an old female coyote. As she looked around the bones and pebbles clinked on her clothes, on her wrinkled face and in her eyes sadness reflected.

“Poor Thalan clan” sighed Mother Willow “I told them with fight they can do nothing but they were too proud to listen to me.”

She slowly walked through the village her staff loudly knocked on the ground.

“What destruction… I hope Typhoon shall find the right way. If he decides well he maybe save his clan from the total die” suddenly she stopped and perked her ears. She heard soft whimpering “Where it comes from?”

She followed the sound that leaded her to the big tree in the end of the village.

“Hmmm something is here” the old woman touched the trunk of the tree “Oh sister oak, please show me your secret” for her words the tree trembled then a hollow appeared on its side. Mother Willow reached in and took out a small whining pack.

“What’s this?” she startled then smiled. In her arms a tiny baby tiger squeaked “There, there… don’t be sad darling. How you get here? Your mother hid from the nagas?” patted the cub that slowly calmed by the soft touches.

“Don’t be afraid, Mother Willow will take a good care for you darling” said kindly the old woman as she tended the baby in her arms “What is your name, little wolf?” took away the blanket and noticed a garland of flower and petals on the cub “Petal? You have a beautiful name, Petal. Since now you’ll live with me and later you can join back to your daddy, okay?”

As she walked away holding Petal her body started shining, in the next moment both of them vanished like they never were there.
