Sailor Principatus Reference

A character from my hopefully to-be-written fanfic, "Shangri-La."

Originally called "Principality" (and once female), Principatus is basically the brains of my little senshi group. He runs the control room with the leader, Lady Paris (more commonly known as "Witch Doctor") and seems to have a little more sense than the other members in his team, which is pretty bad considering part of his brain is partially rotted. Not to mention the fact that he's ten years-old.

Spoilers ahead...

Principatus is an Aeon (or almost one), which is a creature that once was a human child until its soul got sucked out and the body began to cave in on itself. (Oh, and there's that little problem where they eat people, slowly.) Principatus watched a friend succumb to the disease, and this friend ate, or just mauled, their parents. Principatus was bitten but got away (plus his soul was taken out by the newborn Aeon), and he began to deteriorate soon after. Ayezan came across him and stopped the process from completing, by giving back his corrupt soul/starseed, which he now wears around his neck. (When the souls are sucked out, they take the form of black diamonds that fall to the ground, and remain there until the bad guys come to collect them.) As long as he was in contact with his soul, he would stop mutating. However, there is no cure for the disease so the transformation is in no way reversed. So he just has sharp teeth and the eyes are sunken in a bit, as shown at the bottom. He wears a lot of chains of belts in order to keep his body stable and together because he's so weak. Also, if the clothes are too tight, then his body would be squeezed enough to disintegrate, and that would be a pisser.

He is always blindfolded, which kind of creeps out the other senshi, but Ayezan claims that Principatus is merely sensitive to light. He hardly leaves the house where the senshi are stationed, so he has basically memorized the entire habitation and the others believe that he can see through the thin gauze around his head. However, they become a little suspicious when he actually goes outside and begins tripping and bumping into things; this makes them all think he's blind, or has some form of retardation. o.O And there's the odd behavior he displays sometimes, when he starts growling and becomes jerky in his movements like some crazed animal.

That black thing he is holding is a bunch of the dark Aeon souls/starseeds fused together, in an awful mockery of the pure Ginzuishou. He goes around collecting them when new Aeons are born so that the enemies don't get hold of them (there are too many to keep track of, so the baddies miss a few here and there). The starseeds still have a vague connection with the children they belonged to and in a sense, Principatus can use the starseeds to enter the "minds" of other Aeons and spy on the activities of the villains. Since Aeons are pretty mindless, they wouldn't notice an intruder inside them. It's easy for Principatus to invade another Aeon because he's almost one himself, but he still retains his consciousness and he does not succumb to the call of Sophia (the brains behind the whole Aeon business).

The dark crystal thing can also act as a stand-in for the absent Ginzuishou, by harnessing the power of innocence of the children inside it, and becoming a weapon in battle. However, it is hardly used in this way due to its corruption, and any extensive use of its power drains the energy of the starseeds, thus harming and potentially killing the children.

Aaaaaaaaand I think that's it, for now.
