so, turns out I'm back. and i really wanted to make a picture that would show just how bad everything else in my gallery is. i think i succeeded. learned a lot about Photoshop when i made this.
anyway, remember this guy? http://www.sheezyart.com/view/1273651/ well i decided to revamp him so he didn't make my eyes bleed anymore. i don't know about the name, though. might be a little weird. i dunno.
hopefully i'll get some more stuff on here soon.

It's looking really good! The creature design is unique and i really like the rock type spikes all over his body.
His arms are way too thin though and short, especially the right arm (left in the picture). But honestly i think it's all due to bad posing. The pose...just really messes up any proportions. =/
Look online, look for reference. Try to find poses and use those as an idea of how you'll pose your own character. Trying to do it outta thin air with little experience will end up in something, kinda wonky. It's also really hard to measure proportions.
Also the size of his body, his head is just too small. Bring that size of the head up! Show us this creature and his features ^^
I'm not going to critique the background, because i myself am still practicing a lot with proper backgrounds.
But the proportions are thrown off by the pose. The arms and legs..and even chest area just look all different from each other. Consistency is key ^^
But it's good. Keep it up, keep practicing. Try referencing though, you'll be amazed at how well your proportional drawing will get ^^
