NOT THE GORILLAZ SONG
This was done as a xmas present for my girlfriend, just remembered to post it here. I was really happy that she came over to visit for the winter holidays since school's been keeping us apart (for 4 months).
Just trying something really weird with the composition, and improvised as I went along. Hopefully I can colour this soon...
Done with 0.5 mech pencil + china marker, no refs used

I like this. it doesn't feel overworked, and has a special charm about it. I can tell that you put a lot of feeling into it. It's rife with romantic symbolism.
The only thing that bothers me is the harshness of the light on the curly thingy to the left of the two characters. For some reason, it feels as if that one should be a little less harsh lighting, and the one "closer" to the characters more pronounced near the bottom. But since this is obviously a personal piece, don't listen to me. :3
