This is me getting mah hands wet with CG thanks with the help of Kylr for lending me his tablet :3 it was neat... I had a blast makin' this xD such a long time since I had fun.
It looks good! You've definitely got a good start. Next thing I'd recommend is tightening the lines and shading a little bit, deepen the colors, and try making slightly more solid lines. Don't worry about lines unless it interferes with the coloring, because coloring sketches is fun too. You'll get the hang of this in no time, and then you'll learn great shortcuts! For instance, make several layers and block out the flat colors of each section--skin, pants, shirt, sword...and color it, THEN erase what's outside the lines. Let the colored areas overlap so that everything is always covered.
