Senshi: Neptune
Parents: Haruka and Michiru Tenoh in the crystal millennium. Xian Li and Mao Jang, amazons in China, in her present. Her mother, a very proud Amazonian woman, refused to name her daughter Nami, which was a Japanese name, that was in her dream – it told her to name Xian Pu, Nami.
Hair: Bluish-purple and knee-length. Always kept down with the sides pulled into two large Chinese style buns on either side of her head.
Eyes: A mix of what looks like brown, crimson, and purple
Height: 5 feet, 1 inch
Orientation: Heterosexual
Favorite color: Pink and red
Favorite food: Pork buns and ramen
Least favorite food: Okinomiyaki (by default because it is her rival’s food – Ukyo. She gets over it, though, once everything is sorted out between the three of them – her, Ukyo, and Ranma.) Then her least favorite food turns to her real least favorite food – anything that was a baby or young animal before it died. She refuses to eat young animals.
Favorite animal: She isn’t really into animals, but she does love cats
Hobbies: Cooking, Chinese Amazonian martial arts
Occupation: Chef, martial artist, and high school student – but she is home-schooled, so she doesn’t go to school with the others.
Hates: Ranma after his and Akane’s failed wedding, but they make amends later
Loves: Her great grandmother and eventually the senshi. She loves her best friend, Amara, and even more when they both find out later in the story that they are really half sisters.
Fancies: Ranma, but she gives up on him later after the failed wedding with Akane. She begins to hate him, and goes through a depression, but she eventually becomes friends with Akane, and then Ranma again. She and Mu xiu (Mousse) start to get closer after she goes into a depression because of how Ranma screamed at her and the other girls who destroyed his wedding, and they get into a relationship.
Origin: In the crystal millennium, she, along with her half sister Amara or Mara for short, were the heirs of the kingdoms of Neptune and Uranus, respectively. Their mothers got married, Michiru taking Haruka’s surname, and decided to have two children by the same father. They both picked a donor from a list, and Michiru had artificial insemination done – the first time with Haruka’s egg, and the second time with her own. She only had one child each time, meaning the other four eggs failed each time, but she felt she was very lucky with her two daughters. The first they decided to name Amara, or Mara for short, since she was born with the symbol of Uranus on her forehead that quickly vanished after a day or so. It was still there, but hidden. The same thing happened to Nami when she was born, except the symbol was Neptune’s.
Now in the current millennium, both Amara and Nami were reborn into separate families on completely opposite parts of the world. Amara was born in America, in New York, while Nami was reborn as Xian Pu Jang in a Chinese amazon village. Her birth mother refused to listen to the voice in her head before giving birth to Xian Pu that told her to name her daughter Nami, because she wanted her daughter to have a strong Chinese amazon name. She died the day after she gave birth to Xian Pu because she just could not handle it, and there were no hospitals around; the amazons felt they did not need it, and only the strongest survive.
