Origin: Her older brother, Ryoga, left home seven years ago when he was around ten years old to duel an old “friend†you might call him – Ranma Saotome. The family has heard from him since, but never saw him again. Hana went out looking for him when she turned fifteen and finally found him in Nerima, near the Juuban district of Tokyo. Ryoga is not her blood brother, though. He was born in the silver millennium as a protector of Saturn, and the knight and heir of Saturn’s main moon – Titan. He and Hana fell in love, but it was utterly forbidden because they were protector and princess, so they let it go and finally realized that the love they had was that of an extremely strong friendship, not romance.
Eventually, he fell deeply in love with the princess of Jupiter, Ukyo, but he could not pursue a relationship with her because, again, Ukyo was a princess and he was just a guardian, a protector. Hana tried to encourage him, but he never made a move because he was too afraid that it might put him in a bad position with the kings and queens of the planets. True, he was a prince himself, but not high enough to be regarded by one of them. So he watched from afar.
