The Battle Wages On

I know this is going to sound annoying and cliche and angsty, but I swear the sky was going to gobble me up tonight. The black clouds enveloped -everything- in the sky but the bit I snagged in this photo.


It was terrifying and comforting and delicious at the same time. I'd almost forgotten I had the camera in my hand, it was the first time I'd picked it up since Andrew died. It's such an annoyingly fitting metaphor to life, it seems--the entire, picture I mean.

Take this as you wish, I found it refreshing, even if I'm still just a ghost wandering the property, and good and evil are fighting in the backyard.
