The Almost-Genderbending of Haruhi Suzumiya

"Okay, Mikuru! Today, you wear this one!" Haruhi said, beaming as she dug her hand into a bag full of clothes.

Kyon rested his head on his hand. Nothing out of the ordinary going on. He hoped the "meeting" would be short.

"Asuka! You wear this."

"Uh, I'll be right back, Suzumiya-san!" Asuka said, then burst out the door.

"I'm lucky I'm not a girl," he thought out loud. "Poor Asahina-san."

His thought made Haruhi laugh.

"It's not funny..."

"Club meeting is adjourned!" Only an hour later. "Kyon, lock up on the way out." Haruhi was still thinking about Kyon being a girl.

"Fine. I'm leaving last, as usual. Normal day."

Haruhi laughed to herself about Kyon as a girl. She was still thinking about it as she went to sleep.

"Wouldn't it be funny if Kyon was a girl? I'd like to see that."

The next morning...

Kyon's alarm clock went off, waking him up. He yawned, and it seemed to sound higher than normal.

"Wow, my voice is high today..." He thought to himself, getting out of bed. As he stood up he saw his face in the tiny mirror on the wall.

"What the heck? I'm..." he turned around, looking himself over. He pulled on the ponytail on the back of his head. "Eeeeeek!"

Later in the classroom...

Several students gasped a little bit as Kyon slid into his seat, trying to get used to being a girl. And failing.

"What happened to you?" Even Haruhi seemed a little bit shaken. "Where did you get a girls' school uniform?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Did you break into my house or something during the night?"

"No..."

"Then where-"

"I'm not going to talk about it..."

"Okay, Kyon*ko*!"

"yare yare... Another overly cute nickname."

Later again, in the SOS Brigade Clubroom...

Kyon walked in to the clubroom, fully prepared to be interogated.

"Good afternoon..."

"Who are you? What happened to Kyon?" was the overall uproar.

"Okay... Withhold your screams... It's me..."

Several brigade members screamed. Koizumi, who was casually sipping on the tea Mikuru made, started to choke.

"I said WITHHOLD the screams. And someone help Koizumi before he dies..."

"Uh, Kyonko-chan... If that's what I should call you now... What did your sister think?" Mikuru said, apparently a little disturbed.

"She screamed... About 7 times... She tried to hide behind our cat, which didn't exactly work, because Shamisen ran away... Then she started to laugh... Which was worse... Then she tried to dress me in these little doll clothes... Which didn't exactly fit me... Since they were for, uh, dolls. That's basically it."

Haruhi burst into laughter again. Akito and Asuka were stifling giggles.

"Hahaha... Mikuru, you can change back into your uniform. Today Kyonko gets to dress up!"
