Anthropomorphic deer character Juliette.
Her character used to be a dog (chihuahua type) but I've changed her to a deer (for a start, i have no deer character).
Although, not intended as an Xmas picture, it sort of holds that feel.
I found some new techniques of photoshop to help clean up a black and white scan. Now, I don't need to work my colouring AROUND scanning/drawing mistakes
I have a pair of socks like this. My boyfriend (Doza.sheezyart) brought them for me as a souvenir from Turkey.

What a wonderful character Juliette has become.
This picture really shows some character in Juliette. Unlike the last one, this one shows some of her sweeter trates. The soft transition between each surface and the body's language, suggest a kinder moment in Juliette.
The last picture you did with Juliette (The BAD guys by alicelights.) shows her in a more dominant and powerful perspective. Her body language there is much different and the lines are harsher too.
This picture shows the more innocent and kinder Juliette and I find that really interesting in a character; having more than just one aspect to her personality. It really adds some depth to her.
I also think making her a deer character is interesting. Her trates can be linked to a deer and comparisons could be made in her nature and visually it makes her species more obvious.
I absolutely love the colouring job you have done here, the choice of colour was good, they complement her well and the shades and the different colours relation to each other, really does work well. No colour dominates the image, but no colour goes unnoticed.
Instead you can see the image as a whole and that's one of the things this image does really well, I can admire it all instead of being drawn to one spot.
The body proportions, body language and facial expression all work wonderfully and the colour is sublime.
A wonderful image, one if not the best colour image you have done so far ^^
