Broken lips
there once was a girl
who'd forgotten how to smile
her life was all pain
deceit and much guile
she cried everynight
while all were asleep
not as if they ever cared
for her, her the freak
she had a wound on her face
that no one cared to see
that wound was her lips
where her smile once lived free
a gentleman passing by
saw the warmth she has inside
and the smile that long gone
deep inside, still lived on
he saw it in her eyes
he saw the painful disguise
he saw how they treated her
his queen, his maiden fair
one day he took her hand,
and with their firm grips,
he smiled at her heart,
and kissed her healed lips.
