A Stranger. [Color]

EDIT: Now in color! Although the scanner killed it. >:[

Yeah. I really hate my lineart. It's so sloppy. The graphite version looks better. :/

So I just stayed up til 5:30 in the morning drawing this. %D -shot-


This is Stranger.

She's sort of a muse to me. A characterization of my psyche and my artistic spirit.

Everything about her is symbolic of something in my life.

New reference, cause the old one looked stupid. I took the parts I still liked and lightboxed them onto here.

I'll post a colored version when I finish it. Just wanted to put this up for those who need it for reference.

Gah. It's so smudgey and messy blah. :/

And since there's probably no way for you to read my handwriting, I'll type the stuff out for ya.

Eyes

+Left eye is normal, pale blue.
+Right eye has been slashed and blinded. This was self inflicted by force.
+Hair almost always covers blind eye.
+Sometimes shown without pupils, usually in times of heightened emotion.


Clothes

+White Sweater
+Gray Jeans

+Sweater always worn with hood up.
+Sleeves come down over hands most of the time.
+Legs have been self cut many times. They were cut through her clothing, but she has stitched them ornately back together.


Wings

+The wings she has are made simply of light. They are illusions, mirages, incapable of flight. The only real part of them are the two large feathers, the only remnants of her would-be real wings.

+Her real wings were cut and broken from birth, not allowing them to grow properly. They have been rendered useless. They are wrapped tightly in bandages and hidden under her clothing most of the time.


Accessories

+Ornate pendant that is worn always. Given to her by a dear friend.
+Noose made from her discarded halo, which is tied around her waist and always drags behind her.
+Bandages around top and wrists to cover her bleeding heart, broken wings and healing wrists.
+Doesn't wear shoes.
+Black Nails
+4 Hair Loopys


Tattoos

+Phoenix tatto on back. Wings wrap around shoulders, and tail wraps around abdomen.
+Moon tattoo on chest below throat.
+APC symbols on hands and feet. They are mirrored on the opposite hand or foot.


Other Wounds

+Slashed vocal cords. One was self inflicted, one was not, one was self inflicted by force.
+Scars on legs from self inflicted wounds. One cut is still open.
+Hands have many small cuts on them. These are from slip-ups when cutting the legs.
+Wrists were broken for some time, and are still healing.
+Tried to cut her heart out, but couldn't quite do it. It was replaced, but damaged. The wound still bleeds, and she wears bandages to cover it.


Other Info

+Stranger is an adept shapeshifter, but tends to stay human so she can wear clothing to cover her wounds.
+The Phoenix is Stranger's true, pure form, and the only form where her wounds do not show. Phoenix has four crest feathers and a purple V mark on her chest.
