The basic sketch for this was done with pencil and paper, but I made a lot of changes when I decided to do the line art digitally, so I guess this counts as digital work.
Lineart was done in photoshop cs2.
Good lord this took FOREVER. I generally do all of my art through the lineart stage on paper and then scan and color, but this time the sketch was nice and dark, and so I scanned it.
Things I've learned from doing lineart digitally:
1. It takes freaking FOREVER.
2. It's a billion times easier to make corrections.
I think doing things digitally frees me up to take some chances I wouldn't have if I were doing lineart on pen and paper. That said, will I ever do this again? I don't know. It took...probably close to 11 hours, which is a LOT longer than my usual 40 minutes. haha. I like how it looks though, more or less. So we'll see. I always mess up the eyes when I do line art.
