If you wish to understand the title then please scan or read this little rant:
I was looking at a grunge tutorial and I began to think what is art and how much it has changed. I began to ponder that which is considered modern art. Then it hit me, why must we put a label on everything? Modern art, contemporary art, folk art? Why do we feel this urge or need to separate them all? Is it not enough to call what we consider art Art? Even if that definition change from person to person? I know Im posing a lot of questions and some might ask why I decided to take a image of Rembrandt's and destroy it and others might ask what inspired me to make this masterpiece. I can offer only this, next time you criticize an artist who is striving to obtain the goal that are reaching there hardest to obtain be choosy with your word. Why? Well because, perhaps to them that is there own personal Rembrandt or Van Gogh. I mean to say, instead of telling them how much of a looser they are give honest advice on what they can do better. Most likely its want they want you to do. It just, its hard to put out there art because they are being constantly judged by others. No one enjoys it, but sometimes we face to firing squad to obtain our goals. Still, sometimes a shot really hits home or too many can kill a man. Anyhow, I am begining to rant but I cant get myself to delete what I typed. Instead, tell me what you think, I enjoy hearing all of your comments.
