Reaching for the Stars...

My half of an art-trade with , that I actually didn't take forever and a day to finish !

This Is Neireyda, her Kingdom Hearts original character, part of a collaborative fanfiction called Crystal Gates (there are like four other writers). I don't know much about it because, honestly, I don't read a lot of fanfiction these days. Hardly anything, for that matter. But, it seems very nice and somehow detached from cannon, which is always a plus side.

The character went through a lot of overhauls, I've noticed. She was originally named Heather (...a bit of a self insert to my understanding O_o) who was Sora's brother blah blah blah, she kept getting design changes until she dropped the insertness and became Neireyda as she is today.

I think she looks VERY MUCH like a KH charrie. I her final design and name But, I don't know a lot about her, so I based her expression on how teh Heather has drawn her.

This took a bit of effort. I went through about 5 or 6 sketches. I had a lot of issues finding the right pose for this one, so I was glad when I found some stock by Sakky (http://senshistock.deviantart.com) and though it fit nicely with what had in mind.

I then went and raped hubblesite.org for moar pretties, since I could see her reaching up towards the starlight. I WANTED to do an awesome flood-fill effect with an ocean ripple so it looked like she was sitting on water...didn't turn out right, so I just threw in some small ripples here and there. I'm fairly happy with this. Her head is a touch too big and her hips a bit monstrous, but I couldn't get it to look right otherwise ; I ALSO almost forgot those tails on the ground, so they were added in last minute (fast save, though!)

I also had fun experimenting with streaky hair. I think I shall apply this technique in the future, since it looks good

Um, yeah. I like it.
