Fatal Curiosity

God I love Soul Eater, god I love my new fountain pen. *Spazzy happy dance*

In case you haven't figured it out, 'sposta be little Stein-kun being all morbid and scientific-like. Because that one little flashback scene was really interesting to me and I wanted to see more of him as a creepy kid doing creepy things. And you know what they say you should do if you want something done right... (And no, it isn't slap someone until they do it. Fancy that.) What can you say. He's a favorite of mine from the series, and I like to know everything about my favorite characters so I can get inside their heads and understand them and what makes them tick.

Anyway, lots and lots of work and details for this one! I had to design the room and draw lots of teeny things and get the hang of fountain pens. All of these things were fun, of course. Oh, and I painted the lighting before I painted it "for real." Used yellow for the lighted areas and a very thin wash of black for the rest. Then I filled in everything with color and inked it. I only hope that this is depressing enough, because that's what I wanted to do.
