This is by far the biggest and most detailed digital piece I have ever made.
I've been working on this for two weeks, for a long, loooong time. (Oddly enough this is for my Honors Biology class. How random is that?) It's full size is 14x20, and I'm going to have some prints made at Kinko's tomorrow. I tried all sorts of new things on this piece. Like, whales for instance. And ice. And...the ocean. I think I learned a lot. This also the first piece I've ever made that had no lineart in the end. I started out with some on the main narwhal, but I killed it off close to the end so it would match the others.
I'm extremely happy with this, but I'm also sick of looking at it. I feel very protective of this picture, and as a result I've watermarked it. Sorry. :/ Tried to make it fairly unnoticeable.
