Character Reference Sheet 1 - Hadrian
HADRIAN
Hadrian is a dark and incredibly mysterious young man of 22 years old.
Hadrian is fairly gothic in appearance, preferring to wear a long black trenchcoat, combat boots and masses of jewellery. He has dark brown eyes (nearly black) and messy black hair, blood red at the tips. At 180cm in height, and supporting a fairly deep and semi-husky voice, Hadrian can be fairly intimidating.
Hadrian has a quirky and slightly philosophical persona. He is highly inquisitive and can often be found lost in thought, one can only guess what about though. He is slightly dark by nature; this is often mistaken as morbid though. He wasn’t always this way, certain events which occurred prior to the apocalypse led to him change almost completely. I don’t wish to reveal too much about this as I may write it as a story later. However oddly enough, before the apocalypse Hadrian was working as an assistant to a veterinarian.
Hadrian comes from a fairly wealthy background and attended a very prestigious boarding school in England; however he has an Asian/Australian background. After high school he began university in Boston, USA and was studying to become a full-fledged veterinarian.
Hadrian sees in Ilo many similarities to his former self as well as traits he wishes he had.
Small piece of trivia – Hadrian’s initial design (before ‘Only a Smile’) was that of a detective.
- Hadrian is a name of Swedish origin meaning drak one.

Description
I know the description looks huge, but bear with me. It will only be this big for the first entry. I ask you to please read all of it, if not that, at least the bolded section.
I was given this great looking bound notebook by my uncle and aunt, I think it was a Christmas present last year. I didn't want to waste it on something I would end up throwing away, so I decided to use it as a place to reference all of the original characters that my imagination cooks up.
I never really did anything like this before I received this book, so if it starts off kind of rough, you'll have to forgive me.
To begin with I'll try to fit all of the characters together with their respective story/roleplay etc. However, since I am still creating characters it will more than likely become a little disorganized, so you'll have to forgive me.
To all who read this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also pity you for trying to understand what goes on inside my head.
The characters that are mentioned from here on in are all made wholely and soley by me and each and every one has a special place in my heart. Please keep this in mind as you read on. This also means, "PLEASE DON'T TOUCH WITHOUT EXPRESSED PERMISSION." However, if you ask nicely, it's most likely I will let you. I don't bite hard.
Furthermore, to those that know me in real life... While some of the characters I have created are based on or have similarities to people I know, intentional or not, I have absolutely no intention of revealing who is who.
NOW FOR THE FUN STUFF
To start off with, I will submit the characters for the first real story I ever wrote called 'Only a Smile'.
'Only a Smile' was written as a piece of assessment for a university course I took in creative writing.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, this particular story is about a chance meeting between two young men, named Ilo and Hadrian.
Ilo and Hadrian were two characters I had been playing around with for a while before I wrote 'Only a Smile', however it wasn't until I was pushed to write the story that the characters really took life.
Nowadays I have quite the fondness for these two and often go back to them for inspiration.
I have been toying with the idea of writing a side story (or two) for these characters for a while, but have yet to sit down and brainstorm ideas. I honestly don't believe I will ever write a story as special to me as this one has become, some may come close though. I think that I would one day like to write about the events leading up to the apocalypse.
