Betrayal

She will not; I alone,
I can make words follow.
You simply must wallow;
Take those sins and atone.

Only I, on my own,
Pardon what you and she
Take from my trust, my love;
What fools you both must be.

This was for a small project in my IB English class as a means of giving us more experience in understanding rhyme and meter.

Don't ask as to what the meaning of this is, as I'm not quite sure myself; the words just came over me (my parents both liked it a lot, though). This is supposed to be written in dactylic dimeter, but some parts are iffy. The rhyme scheme is "abba acdc" (yes, I did that on purpose).
