Till The End (Part 1)
It was a cold December night. The streets were covered in a thick pack of snow.
Stephan and Thomas stood in the queue at the food bank. Many homeless people looking for food and hopefully some blankets.
Stephan had been living on the streets for nine months now. He walked away from home. Both of his parents were drugs addicts and all their money was spent on drugs. There wasn't even any money for food, and they were always fighting. So last April, Stephan walked away from home and lived on the streets ever since.
Stephan stood behind Thomas. He held him close, and whispered into his ears, "I will always be with you, no matter what. I love you so much."
Thomas, he lived on the streets for half a year. His parents were killed. They used to be drugs dealers. Their car was sabotaged and it ran into a tree. Stephan saw the 'accident' happen. Thomas was in that car too. He saved him out of the car, just before it exploded.
Finally they reached the front of the queue. On the other side of the counter was an elderly lady. Her hair was greying a little. She looked at the boys, nodded her head, and gave the two boys a cup of stuffed soup, and blankets for the night.
Stephan and Thomas sat down at one of the wooden tables and ate their soup. It was not much, but better then having eaten nothing at all. As they were leaving, the lady who gave them their soup was already cleaning up the place.
It was late at night. The lanterns in the street shone their light on the thick flocks of snow falling from heaven. The wind was blowing ice cold.
Stephan and Thomas were wrapped in their blankets, walking down the street, looking for a place to sleep. On the other side of the street, a group of junkies was hanging around a car. Probably their dealer.
A man stepped out of the car. He was wearing an expensive suit. Stephan looked at the other side of the road, and was about to ignore the scene when something attracted his attention. He shivered, but not from the cold.
