When All The Laughing Has Ceased

Mario Nette wished for eternal life after he killed the Leviathan's seventh "head", so the gods gave it to him, but at the cost of his humanity. So now he's been condemned to the "life" of a Puppet, invincible and unmovable by time or anything else for that matter.

So Mare saw him as a threat to the world if he stayed around, so she incapacitated him and chained him to the bottom of the ocean, so he can't harm anyone or wreak anymore havoc across Earth.

So he's still there, but most people consider him a faint, superstitious fisherman's tale, while Mare is haunted by the laughing of a mad puppeteer for decades to come.
