What kind of state is this that a teacher would attempt to belittle a student?

What kind of school is it that the person who will represent the student population is chosen by popularity alone ?
Ours!
What kind of society is it that would ridicule innovation and change?
Ours!
What kind of people would allow such atrocities to happen without protest?
