well I'm.. tired

and
more tired

of the anthro art I see these days. I think the anthropomorphic scene is just dirty now, like it has been for a little while,(no no not everything, come now there is some striking good work out there). It doesn't matter how old you are to start somewhere, it's the things some younger people are inspired by and attempt to mimic, like the portrayal of "Attractive" skimpy characters in trendy clothing and even bare naked with expressions of "yo! I'm easy". it's just material that is SO REPETETIVE/mediocre and some of it just illogical to me. it has nothing to do with the sonic fanart. I'm tired of all the sex shown in the lot of it, because it's starting to make me feel a little shameful to say the word "anthropomorphic". More or less I wanted to just draw something that's practical, conventional and better-natured. a tribute to half-animal, half-human stuff.
and it's some anatomy practice. The only anthro art I ever draw conceptually, are military anthro art~

and I realized by accident the guys expression's like,
"why?"
great thinkers of our times~

anyway

0.5 mechanical pencil on printer paper
inked with Faber-Castell pen. no I didn't refine it in a program.

I've been wanting to try my hand at drawing anthro for a while. I still need a lot more practice.
I do agree that it seems more sexualized these days. The type I like is the kind your doing as well as some other styles.
I don't need to tell you to keep it up.

Woah, big glock , Dude!
That looks really cool!
I love your art style

I know what you mean.. I started drawing anthro because I liked Sonic, and made some fan caracters and stuff. I still draw my anthro caracters, but very rarely. I kind of got disgusted from all of the "Furry" comments that always remind me of sexualized anthropomorphic art... I don't mean to affend anyone, but man, if you even mention anthro that's the first thing that comes to mind.
When I look at this however, it's nothing close to that. This is really nice, and filled with great details in clothing and expression. You give anthro a good name! I think I'll start to draw more anthro like I used to.. C:
