August-Higher Learning

This is the painting for August in the calendar. Again I was going for the essence of the month, at least to me. So August is summer-y nights and school/college starting. Warm colors with a touch of cool. I admit I like the japanese school uniform look, so while he's neither specifically japanese or in high school, I couldn't resist. He's either going to a private college or has a uniform fetish himself.

I was also going for a more subtle sexy with this one. Like "Office Heat" and the one for November (which I'll post a little closer to Thanksgiving), I was aiming for evoking sexy without baring skin. Uniform, glasses, and brains: very sexy. And with an artistic passion with those brains(the book he's reading is titled "The Art of Quantum Physics"; not a real book as far as I know. )
