Playing in the Fire

A little Flash tribute to my sister Jenn, whom you all know as . She's always been the truly artistic one in the family; truth be told, I'm just a pale shadow compared to the light, darkness, and color I've seen her create over the years. I'm a Photoshopist and a writer, but she... she is an artisan. For a while now I've been playing around with the idea of Photoshoping a piece of her art or one of her photographs as a gift of sorts, but for one reason or another it never quite came together until this time. The original image is her [Harbinger: Flame Dancer] drawing; when I saw it, the first thought that jumped to my mind was "what if I put flames in the background?". It only grew in depth and detail from there.

The song is Soulburn by Masterplan. I felt that the lyrics fit not only the image but also what I know of Jenn's artistic spirit (although when you listen to it you'll have to mentally swap the "he" "him" and "his" for "she" "her" and "hers"). The image uses brushes from Obsidian Dawn and Brusheezy.
