Ah...how long ago since I watched Inspector Gadget? Too long. I used to always be in the look out for everytime the show came on and I wouldn't move from my sit until it was over.

I think you're lacking proper structure on this drawing, it looks flat. You even have some perspective problems, I'd suggest you flip the drawing to help see your mistakes.
I can't sense any kind of depth to this drawing, and shading isn't the answer to this. I'd also suggest you draw from life as well, it'll help out a lot.
I'm sorry to say, but you've got a long ways to go.
