Meeting One
The Idea


I sat there, in my chair that I usually sat in, thinking, as usual, but... This time... I was thinking about different things... I looked over at my best buddy, the one I have known and lived near most of my life...
"Hey... Nicky..." I said...
"Huh?" he turned to look at me from the television.
"I have an idea..." I started...
"What is it?" he asked me.
"It's a new, weird idea..." I continued...
"Yeah?" he was begining to lose interest.
"Yeah..." I nodded...
"Oh just say it already!" he practically shouted at me.
I blinked, looking at him
"Umm... How about we get into organized crime...?" I asked him, not sure of the response I was going to get out of him...
"You mean get involved with the mafia?" he asked me to be sure he heard right.
"Yeah, why...?" I asked him...
He just turned his head and continued watching the television...
I got closer to him and much more serious than I ever was...
"No, I'm serious..." I started, trying to get his attention...
"So am I..." He said.
"But we would get alot of money and...!"
"You know what happened to Uncle Donny and Uncle Tony!" he faced and yelled at me...
My eyes widened as I remembered it all... how they and everyone related and close to them, besides us, were killed...
"B-But we aren't like them... W-we can survive..." I replied, trying to keep the idea going...
"It's suicide..." he said, going back to the television...
"We can get the old crew from when we were kids" I said to him with confidence...
"... If you can get them up, then I will think about it..." was his final word, then he left...
"If I get them all back..." I said to myself aloud, then went to go find them in the phonebook and everywhere else I could think of...
