Child of Three Thousand Generations

Child of Three-Thousand Generations

A crossover story…

Part Intro:

Two parents stood over a sleeping baby. An arm hovered protectively bended to the babe’s face.
“We can’t keep her…” a male voice echoed in the dark.
“Then what should we do?!...” a female’s voice cried.
The darkness surrounding the three figures lightened, revealing a luminescent cave glowing with pearls and swaying seaweed. The scene looked to be underwater, but it wasn’t easy to tell. Two hands traced the baby’s face as the two spoke again.
“It’s just not safe to let her grow up here, with things the way they are. But… on the other hand, we can’t leave. That bridge is burned.”
“…It’s too hard…”
“…I …know.”
The one person holding the baby clutched it to their chest. It must have been the woman…?
“…NO…”
“…YES… you said it yourself, we can’t leave. What other option do we have?”
“But-!!”
“There’s no point in arguing!”
“Oh, really!? Give a good reason why we should do that!”

Silence filled the cave.

“ALL OF US WOULD DIE IF NOT.”

There was another silence. Both figures hung their heads, then the one not holding the child walked away briefly to return with an amazingly large pearl. Both extended their hands until a finger rested on it. It started to glow with radiating colors. The colors started to illuminate the cave past lighting; it blindingly occupied every nook and cranny.

“…Michiyo!”

Part 1… Naruto

{Sunlight filtered through the curtains of a bedroom, making the bed sheets glow with early morning light. Folded over each other, they draped over a curvy figure. A leg had a gentle slope to it. Following the curve, the eye was drawn to the thigh, which curved up even more as it reached the hip. Then it sloped drastically inward, immediately climbing up as the waist was looked over. Finally making its last upward journey, the slope increased until it was adjacent to a gentle downward slope.
Shoulder and chest. Finally, the neck was too shrouded in darkness to see anything beyond. This figure moved, and then, miraculously, the shape beneath the sheets shrank. A low groan escaped the dark, along with a stretch.}

“I don’t believe it. Morning, already…”
A low groan of exasperation was heard. The person beneath the sheets lay still for a moment, before flinging off the covers. She climbed out of bed, a young, preteen girl.

Michiyo.

She walked over to the mirror, and picked up a brush. She examined herself in the mirror.
“Bloody hell. No matter what, some days, I just can’t get used to seeing this face again. I can’t believe that I don’t remember anything either…” Michiyo muttered.
She heaved a deep sigh.
“Well, anyway, time to get going. My first day of ninja school.” She rolled her purple eyes.
“Wonderful.”
She quickly dressed in some shorts, a shirt and slipped on some ballet flats. As she locked the door, she fluffed her chestnut hair. ‘Just one more thing,’ Michiyo thought. She put on a golden necklace, with a gold heart-shaped locket dangling on the end. One rose was delicately arched along the side of the necklace. Very pretty, and expensive. It looked antique. She tucked it into her shirt, and began to walk to the Academy.

Meanwhile, Naruto was running to the academy, trying not to be late.
“Crap! Iruka-sensei is gonna be mad if I don’t make it! CRAAAP!” he huffed. As he was running, he turned a corner, and ran right into Michiyo. He fell backward onto the ground.
“Huh? I thought I just…” Michiyo wondered out loud. Just then, Naruto said “OW” very loudly. Michiyo looked down.
“Hey, watch where you’re going, will ya?!”
“Oh. Sorry, didn’t see you there.”
She offered a hand to Naruto. Naruto “hmph”ed, but he took the hand.
“Where’re you going?”
“School, but now I’m probably not gonna make it…” Naruto said running off. But Michiyo caught his arm.
“Hold on there. You’re going to the Academy?”
Naruto shrugged off her grip.
“Yeah, so leave me alone, I’m gonna be late!! See my headband? Well, I’m a certified ninja sis, and I’ve got to find out what squad I’m in to-day!!”
He started to run off again, but she stopped him again. Naruto turned around, a look of annoyance on his face.
“I’m going there too. BUT- I’m not going to be late. So, I’ll make sure we’re both not late… IF- you promise to close your eyes until I say so.”
“…What?” He said a look of suspicion on his face.
“Just promise. OK? It’s a secret.” She put a finger between them as if to hush him.
“…that’s weeiird… but, I guess I don’t have a choice…”
He closed his eyes, still unhappy. Then he felt her hand tug on his arm, when he felt sudden wind; plus he felt really nauseous, like he was twirled around.
“Open your eyes.”
He did, and shouted when he saw that they were in front of the Academy.
“WHOA!!” Naruto turned to look at Michiyo. “How’d you DO that?!”
Michiyo grinned mischievously. “I told you; it’s a secret.”
Naruto stood there, in awe for a few seconds before Michiyo let go of him and pointed at the building. “Let’s go, or we’ll be late!”
Naruto needed no more incentive than that. Both dashed into the school and into class.
