Wish Upon A Star----*EDIT*
I looked up into the sky
And saw a star smiling down at me
She told me to just make a tiny wish
And I could capture the world at sea
So I made my wish
And waited for the world to come
As the days drifted on
I sat on by and began to hum
Weeks turned into months
And I couldn't understand
Why had she told me to make a wish
If she wasn't going to lend a hand?
On one starry night
I saw her and she winked at me
Then I asked her
"Oh why didn't I capture the world at sea?"
She shook her head and sighed
"Child what was it that I told you?"
"Why you told me to make a tiny wish"
I replied but that was when I knew
She smiled brightly
When she saw I understood
I needn’t make a wish
So big but she knew that I would
That was the night
It all made sense to me
Just because you make a wish
Doesn’t mean it shall come true, you see
A wish is something
That if it is so small
Can only come true
On it’s one single call
That star, oh she
Had taught me well
My lesson on a wish
That I have many to tell.
