It is really good, but it seemed at the beginning with the horn and string feature more of a seafaring adventure lol. Regardless, it was still brilliantly orchestrated; the male chorus really added the church styled effect. The clashing styles of the modern beats and the horns added the perfect layer of intensity. All in all, you my man, are an amazing composer
I really like this, and I agree with your description, only in my eyes it's in a Western film, and the priest is coming out of a little chapel on a hill, and the Sheriff rides up on his horse...and...well, you get the idea!
And to think earlier this week I noticed how much I liked orchestral songs with modern beats like this. 1:16 is a brilliant portion of the song, the male chorus adding an incredible amount of epicness. I was wondering though, shortly thereafter you go into a familiar string motif that I've heard many times before - is this done as a theme for a movie?
O.O Total awsomness!!! I love love love it!!! Definatly worth the wait for the comp to stop acting like a poohead!
Love the monk sounding stuff around 1:14. Totaly epic!
Ooooh...I can very easily see something kind of similar to what you describe, when I listen to this: I've got a fantasy story I'm working on with an order of blind warriors. They are very deeply religious, so it fits very well.
The choir is the best part...sounds wonderful. Any idea what the lyrics are?

Matches your description very well. I imagine something kinda like Hellboy, except, it's a priest with a bible and gun.
