This portrait is finally done!! It was supposed to be done for his birthday on Oct 7th, but I got a bit carried away with the details!

I had lots of fun drawing this, especially the texture on his clothing. Took me a whole two days to draw that.

At first I hated this slippery smooth paper (smoother than bristol smooth!), but it does have its advantages. You get some nice light tones on it and get smoother-looking shadows. I still haven't gotten the hang of it yet, but this wasn't so bad for my first time using the paper. Hard to get very dark tones on it, though.
