Stars: Art Trade With SuperSayMe

I walked out into the clearing that marked the end of the property, music pumping out from the house behind.
Sighing, I sat down and gazed into the night sky, trying to lose myself in its awesome wonder.
Before long, the sound of crunching leaves met my ears. I didn’t turn around, was probably just another kid trying to catch my sister’s eye, wanting to know her favorite movie or novel or something of that nature.
“Hello,” he said.
Oh, so it’s Sean this time mmm? I didn’t know that much about him. A rather quiet kid, smart and none too bad looking either.
Ignoring him, I simply stated, “The stars are beautiful tonight eh?”
He took a seat next to me, but didn’t meet my eyes, just looked up himself. “Yes, they are indeed.”
We sat like this for several minutes. Never talking, never looking back down to the earth on which we sat. I started to get a bit irritable after a while of this and finally decided to confront him.
“If you want to know about my sister, why don’t you ask her yourself? It is obvious that I am not her clone, how do I know what she does and doesn’t like?” It didn’t sound at all as impressive as I hoped in my light alto voice. I turned my head to face him nonetheless.
After a long awkward pause, he finally turned towards me, impassive as ever. “You know, some ancient cultures used to see stars as simply the outline of the figures that lay between them in the dark space. They saw the true majesty that went far deeper than just the surface. To them, the stars were even an obstruction.” With this, he stood up and slowly made his way back to the party.
I considered this small gift he had given to me for a second, and blushing, hurried back after him.

A close friend of mine on DA and I decided to have a little art trade. Well, this is my half of the art trade, can't wait to see her's.
