This Familiar Numbness

This familiar numbess
creeps...
clinging to my fears.
Cleasing.

The sins, they trickle out.
This, my crimson glory;
my repentance.
Carried out willingly;
accepting graciously
this burning agony.
What were my sins?

Oh, what does it matter, now?
Thoughts only of
Redemption.
Scratching. Slicing. Gouging.
Ridding myself of my impurities.

But.
Only too soon...
mayhem results.
Control is lost.
Too Much.
Too Fast.
Confusion;
All but a red haze.
Nothing left.

Nothing but...
this familiar numbness.

Okay... so I wrote this in Math class one day.
Yeah I know... could be why I didn't do so hot on the last test.
Whatever.
Poetry is theraputic.
Or so they say...
