The Kelpie

This one actually isn't even finished yet but it's 23:48 here, so in 12 minutes it won't be Halloween anymore which is what I had intended this picture for in the first place Perhaps I'll finish it up tomorrow.

This is my probably most favourite mythological creature, the Kelpie, from celtic folklore. It is said to live in rivers and bogs and appears as a beautiful white or black horse, only recognisable by its forever dripping mane. It lures travelers- especially children- into mounting it, after which it plunges headlong into deep water, dragging its victim down to the depths after which it devoures them, leaving only the heart or liver.
