For first attempt it looks good... maybe you should do more shadows effects the next one
For example, note that I'm not a great artist, but when I do charcoal piece, I do always the shadows first (not too dark, just a little blur), then I darker them when I see the shadows are correct/Good and for the rest, I blur the shadows with the fingers
It's alright. Both realism and charcoal are very difficult to use anyway.
Usually for practicing realism I'd use a reference pic. 9I'm also practicing realism myself.)

um, make the torso and arms area abit more bigger, the chest abit more smaller as well as the neck, and that's as far as i know of. nice job tho~!

I would just say make the outline a bit softer. Other than that, it's lovely.
