yay, messy pen drawing.
Drew it during the history lecture today, couldn't really handle too much note-taking. I haven't slept in over 20 hours, so it seemed better to draw.
The subject matter is based off of the last lecture we had, all about the December 5, 1837 rebellion. Basically, William Lyon Mackenzie decides to start getting people in the local pubs and taverns riled up, he wants to rise up against the irresponsible government which was in place at the time.
At first, most of the guys are simply bad-mouthing and whatnot as they drink. And they get a bit drunker, and a bit drunker still, until they are all drunk enough to be convinced into marching down Younge Street.
So, a drunken mob gets together and marches up to be angry and drunk at the legislative council. These officials catch wind of the mob, and put out about 20 loyalists to defend the house.
Turns out, the drunken mob was rather intimidating, and the loyalists were chicken. Instead of facing the mob, these men fire off some shots toward the mob, and hightail it outta there.
When the men closer to the front of the mob hear these gunshots, naturally, they hit the ground for cover. However, the drunker men in the back end up thinking that the men at the front had been shot, which scares some of the drunk out of them and they then decide to get outta there. After that, the march fell apart.
And that kids was one of the earliest Upper Canada rebellions!

Who else used SPADES as the weapon of choice during the war?
(I say "the war" because I honestly don't remember which one or ones it was)
