Sonic shook his head, his quills rattling against one another and swaying in a secondary moment. The hedgehog lased his fingures back behind his head as he walked through the Grate Forest in a easy stride of the content. Sonic closed his eyes for a few paces, enjoying the feel of walking through sunbeams, the warmth.

He opened his clear, emerald eyes and watched a butterfly stitch the air above him. The hedgehog paused as his eyes tracked the erotic, yet somehow playful wondering of the pretty insect.

Sonic lower his arms as he moved again, fallowing under the butterfly with a half smile. He had no where to go and this fluttering purple butterfly had caught his attention.

The hedgehog took a half a step back as the butterfly made an abrupt turn and floated down to him. Sonic froze, holding so still that it was almost out of charter for him. Sonic had so much fiery energy in him that at times he hated to stand even remotely still for any length of time. But here he was quite and almost motionless, his blue quills swaying gently with every breath he took.

The butterfly jittered in the air in front of the hedgehog and after a moment landed delicately on his black nose, making sonic go cross-eyed to look at it as his ears tipped up.

"Heh," Sonic gave a small smile as a nearly faint memory surfaced, "Futterby." he said softly, remembering the old name for the insect that his mother had called it by.

The butterfly twitched it's tissue-paper thin wings, the darker eye spots standing out on the shining purple back ground. It moved a little, but Sonic couldn't feel it's tiny weight on his nose.

The hedgehog tilted his head, but the butterfly refused to leave, hanging on with all it's slight strength.

Sonic smiled again and took a breath before gently blowing up at his nose. The indigent butterfly fluttered up in to the air again, flying in the jittery, pretty way butterfly tended to do as Sonic began walking again.

The butterfly stitched the air above his head for a minute before neatly landing on his ear.

You need a spell-checker and a dictionary. Badly.

Otherwise, good show. Cute imagery.
