I came across a photo when trying to get ideas for my last image, and became inspired... something that hasn't happened in a while. So I took the photo as a reference, painted up a slightly different but more relevant version (with light streams and all) then drew my character over it. All digital and probably my best digital piece to date. I normally draw my line art on paper because I'm not too skilled with my tablet, but I think I'm getting better. Comments and critiques welcome.

I love the way you color hair & use the shine effects with the eyes too. Its adorable, but like addictive to look at...ah I can't explain that part 
Anyway I love the CGed scene & how you manages to have the light effect from behind your character showing
