Part 6
The Destined Meeting

Link: Cool, this must be the courtyard!

He was just about to walk to the next area of the courtyard but suddenly noticed a guard to he went fast back to the first area.

Link: This will be a little harder I guess.
Navi: Yep. And I didn’t think I doubted that a place like this has guards around.
Link: Luckily there are statues and bushes around here. It all will make this a little easier.
Navi: Are you really gonna….?
Link: Yep! I hope you’ll have enough patience now cause this is day is going to be long.

And with that, Links quest to get past the guards just begun.

Zelda just came from her room and now she was in a much better mood. She sensed that something unbelievable was about to happen. She didn’t know when and what. She just knew that soon something was going to happen, and was surely not a bad thing. That’s why she was in a singing mood also. She sang a little of what she could remember of the song she heard from the Gerudos the other day. She was really a fan of music and loved to sing. Before she sang often but then her singing mood disappeared but came back this day. Sort of at least cause she was singing very quietly and all. Even tough she sang the really wild song quietly and calmly and in her own style you could still feel the power of and wildness even from just the melody and the words she could remember.
She just passed the throne room and where about to head out for the courtyard but got stopped cause of Ganondorf suddenly spoke to her.

Ganondorf: Such a beautiful young and sweet singing voice you have , princess. Even for such a strange song your singing is most beautiful!

She froze! Even tough she sang so quietly he heard it? But that wasn’t the concern for her, she was more worried about what he exactly meant and wanted. She turned around unwilling but before she could say anything her father, the king appeared.

The king: Indeed, I haven’t heard you sing for a very long time, Zelda!

As an answer Zelda smiled unwilling like she was doing a discrete grimage.

Ganondorf: Is that really so? How sad to hear. Where did that beautiful voice gone away to in that time?
The king: No idea. She also used to play Ocarina a lot before also. But since she time she stopped singing she used to play only Ocarina but that wasn’t often.
Ganondorf: I guess the voice were hiding in the music she played in that gloomy time. Talking about that, did you say Ocarina? I’ve heard about that instrument a while ago and have had a little interest of seeing and hear one.
The king: Glad to hear. It is actually a Ocarina, she’s very good at playing. She and my wife passed-away wife shared a lot of time in playing. Her mother teach her the art of music. When it comes to the instrument playing they had a very special Ocarina they always played.

Zelda froze once again. He own father, the king was just about to spoil the most secret thing she had. And not only that, the memorize and the treasure from her mother also.

The king: I can’t really remember the name of this special Ocarina but it is a very ancient little thing and Zelda and her mother held it very safe.

Then Ganondorf turned to Zelda who froze even more.

Ganondorf: How interesting to hear. Say is it a little treasure for you and your mother, my sweet highness? It would be wonderful to hear you play this….What do you call it?

Zelda froze and got very scared now. She couldn’t believe what she just heard. She finally got it and only the thought scared her.

Zelda:(My mothers gift? The Ocarina of time!?! Our treasure? Hyrule!?! Is that really his ultimate goal!?! No way!!!!!!!)

What the hell was she going to answer? Tough her big fear and concern she pulled of that grimage smile again as answer.

Zelda: Errr….How embarrassing. I’ve like forgot the name of it cause of it was a while I last played it.

Then she turned to her father.
Zelda: Now…. I also remembered another thing. Father, do you mind If I speak to you for minute. And that means only us two.
The king: Well, I guess it shouldn’t be a big problem this time.

Then he turned to Ganondorf.

The king: Excuse me sire Ganondorf, do you mind coming back later? It won’t last long.

Ganondorf then bowed down for the king as answer and left.
Once Zelda felt safe she told the king about her dream. She thought that he would understand but it ended up the opposite.

The king: I don´t really think this is a prophecy, Zelda. It sounds more like a nightmare from a depression time. Ain´t I right?
Zelda: Please father, this is the truth! My feelings and senses have never been wrong. This man is not your friend! Pleas, you must believe me!
The king: But I don´t. And you must trust my knowledge, daughter! I have been watching that guy and there is nothing wrong with him!
Zelda: But father….!
The king: I don´t have time for this Zelda! Right now I have important things to take care of! I suggest you to forget it all.

And with that he left and Zelda was all alone in the throne room with only the retarded guards around.

Zelda: (AAARRRRGGGGGH!)

Zelda couldn’t believe it. She was really angry and disappointed. She needed to chill of for a while and with that she left the throne room for her favourite place in the courtyard.
Link and Navi were still navigating through the Castle courtyards. They were hiding behind the one of the hecks to avoid the two guards who were patrolling around a statue. Suddenly they heard a door opening behind them and be closed with a big hit. Link and Navi behind the trees If there was a guard coming. But it wasn’t a guard or even a grown up at all. She seemed to be in hurry and also very angry as she fast walked to the place Link were aiming at to get If he could get past the guards. Her beautiful dress and her veil seemed very familiar to Link. He couldn’t see her face but he was sure that he had seen her before. As she was walking away he also noticed that the guards suddenly stopped patrolling as they were surprised by the young girl’s aggressive arrival. Link used this chance and sneaked past them and luckily they hardly noticed him. Link headed trough the elegant stone tunnel to the little courtyard at the other side but he had to sneak very quiet and slowly.

When Zelda got up the stairs to her little place at the window to the throne room she sighed heavily and then made a fast but aggressive kick in the wall. She sighed again and calmed herself down. She then began to stare through the window. She saw the king prepare for his meeting with that Ganondorf.
Link just entered the little but very beautiful castle courtyard and noticed the girl he saw before. But once he noticed her he couldn’t move, all he did was to stare at her and lose himself in his minds.

Link: (Where have I seen you before? And why are you so familiar?)

Suddenly he woke up and walked slowly to her. He didn’t know what to do or what was going to happen once he reached her but she somehow kept him from stopping.
Once he got up on the stairs he just stopped and stared at her again. Being so close to her felt strange but good. He was speechless as he just stared at her. It was then he did something he never thought he would do to a person before and especially not a royal like her.
His hand leaned slowly for her shoulder. The closer his hand came to her the more his hand regret to stop. Zelda couldn’t see so much of her father at the moment. But tough, she really wanted to spy and get to know everything even tough it was just by eye. Suddenly she felt even more calming. She got calmer and calmer by every second plus that she felt the warmth of something that was approaching her. It was like someone was about to rub her shoulder. Zelda suddenly turned around and noticed a stranger standing behind her. But it wasn’t only a stranger. When she saw him she then remembered, he was more than familiar. As a reaction she gasped and just stared. It was the same person from her dream, she was positive about it. Those green clothes and that flying butterfly glowing with a mystical light. Was that really a fairy or was she just imagining it all. Link himself thought also he was dreaming. He couldn’t stop staring at her and that face, now he knew why she was familiar and he got the answer once he saw her face.

Zelda: ….Who are you?….How did you make it past the many guards?

When he heard her voice he was first speechless. She sounded very sweet indeed.

Link: I…I…

Both of them stared at each other even deeper. Zelda also got speechless for a few seconds when she heard his voice. So sweet and tender. Then her eyes turned to the glowing butterfly flying above him very calmly.

Zelda: If…If I ain´t wrong that must be…a fairy.
Navi: Indeed. My name is Navi!

Zelda got surprised that the glowing thing spoke but there she got the proof. It was a real fairy. Her eyes turned to Link again as she got the answer.
Zelda: You…you must be from the forest then….

Link didn’t knew what to answer so he blushed and smiled very gently but shy and waved to her as an answer. Then Zelda smiled gently to him. He was the one, she was more than positive.

Zelda: M-may I then ask If you’re the one who have the Spiritual Stone of Forest. You know, the shiny and green stone.

Then Link woke up and took up Kokiris Emerald he got from the Great Deku tree and showed it to her.

Link: Oh, oh, you mean this one? Yeah, thanks for reminding me.
Zelda: Tee hee hee, I knew you were the one!

Then Link blushed and smiled thankfully at her plus that he was a bit confused.

Link: Ehee the one?
Zelda: You see, I’ve had a dream…

Link got very curious. Had she been having a dream too like he had? He listened very carefully when she told him everything about her dream. Once her story was over he understood what she meant about “the one”. It also got him to think of his own dream about her.

Zelda: I know that this may sound very mysterious and all, like a prophecy…
Link: Not at all!
Zelda: Really?

Zelda thought she sounded pretty stupid for a little while. Talking about something like that after such a bad conversation with her own father who she really thought she could trust at. But when she saw Link smiling gently at her she had to smile gently back as thanks. He really was one you could trust at, she felt it and she knew it. But suddenly she woke up!

Zelda: Oh! Sorry, btw for not introducing myself yet! I am Zelda, Princess of Hyrule!

Link also woke up then. He knew that she was a royalty from the start but forgot to bow. He felt a bit rude for a moment so to make up for his mistake he did it now.

Link: Sorry also for being late with this, my princess. Oh, and I’m Link btw.
Zelda: Link?….Now where have I heard that before? Strange, your name feels very familiar!
Link: To confess it myself, your name also feels familiar even tough I’ve never heard of you!

Then Zelda grinned a little.

Zelda: Then, now when we are introduced and all I’m now going to tell a secret I want you to know. And it’s about us, our kingdom, Hyrule and the secrets beyond. Please, I want you to keep this secret also. Anyway, it all goes like this….

Link smiled at her as a promise and it gave made her trust him even more….
Have you heard about Hyrule´s history? About its creation and the creators?

The tree goddesses of Power, Wisdom and Courage and all? Great Deku Tree told me…
He said that they also created the tree triangles when they left this world and that it’s resting place is called The Sacred Realm.

That’s right! Those three triangles are also known as the Triforce plus that If one touches it can make any wish come true. The resting place of it as said is really the Sacred Realm, and the only entrance is from Temple of Time. If one with a good and pure heart touches it, Hyrule will become a peaceful paradise forever. But If one with a false and evil heart touches the triforce, Hyrule will become a world of evil and darkness.

Then I know what Great Deku Tree really meant about that it was very important to protect it!

Definitely! That’s why the gates to the Sacred Realm is closed by a big door…

Link: So the story about the Triforce and the goddesses is really true. The Triforce is still resting in its realm.
Zelda: Indeed. And the Temple of time is also actually the entrance to it. The big door id still there and still closed, it’s called the Door of Time. The only way to open it is to collect all three Spiritual Stones. And one more you need is the “Royal family’s treasure”, The Ocarina of Time. My mother passed it on to me and I’ve kept it safe since then, keeping my promise to her by doing that also. She died not to long ago. What’s your parents like, Link?
Link: I..I´ve never met them. I was raised in Kokiri Forest by The Great Deku Tree who also raised all of us who live in the forest.

Zelda forgot about her own sorrow for her mother when she saw Links sad face. He didn’t have any parents at all or knew anything what happened to them at all. All he knew was the very horrible thought of that they didn’t exist anymore.

Zelda: I’m very sorry to hear about that, Link!

Then Link’s face turned to her and that she could see another sort of sadness in his face. She could also see pity in his face.

Link: I’m also very sorry to hear about your mother! May I ask of what happened?

Zelda smiled as answer to tell him that it was ok. Once she answered she also got a gloomy face as she began her story.

Zelda: I was very young then. It all was very confusing also, but very sad. Before my very gloomy days came cause of it I was in a big state of shock. But that was before the very many days of sorrow I was going through. All the nights and days with only sadness and a 10,000 tears. It all was too horrible. It all began with big happiness. I was with my best friend who’s name is Malon and my mother, the queen was with her mother. Like me and Malon they were best friends and had a very happy time together. They were out for a horse ride in the Hyrule fields. It was then it happened. They found them on the ground of some huge cliff somewhere and they say that’s what killed them. But….me and Malon where the only ones who believed that it really wasn’t the reason to their death. My dad didn’t really care of the reason to my mother’s death. He was just too sad that she was gone, he loved her so much. And Malons father seemed to love her mother very much. Both of our fathers wasn’t really there for us in our gloomy days. They were just too sad for their loss. Me and Malon had each other at least in those gloomy days but our father’s sorrows made them to wish for loneliness. I also had Impa, my attendant who’s been beside me ever since and even before my mothers death.
Later on as the years passed we’ve been keeping together a lot me and Malon plus that we had Impa since my father…..well….his depression was never over. We were very lucky to have Impa around and today she’s here for us, also for friend and me and our friendship and times.
Link: Oh, very sorry to hear about it all, Zelda! And…about your friend. I believe that even your times and friendship were somehow disturbed later on. I met her you see, and she helped me reach you.
Zelda: You must give her my thanks next time you see her. Anyway, you’re very true about it all. In the latest times and mostly nowadays our friendship have been very disturbed…

Zelda then told Link about how her father suddenly changed and all. How the guards suddenly became disturbing and all.

Zelda: My fathers change plus this kingdoms happy days changing was kinda scary also for us. Malons father also changed, both of our fathers changed thanks to our mothers death we believe. But we also believe that it was not only the reason. We’re pretty positive that our dad’s, and much other things changed cause of his appearance and meetings with my father.
Link: He?

Link noticed that Zelda became pretty concerned as she suddenly showed him the window.

Zelda: Met him for about a little while ago. Now he’s about to have a meeting with my father again. Before you came I was waiting for it. They should be there now, “he” is there actually.

Link then peaked into the window and saw him. The dark man with his dark armour and red hair. He also noticed his green skin and his eyes which looked like the devil’s eyes himself. Then he remembered him…

Link: It’s him!
Zelda: You see him? You see the darkness and evil in him as I do?
Link: Another thing I understand of what the Deku Tree told me. I’ve seen him before also. Now I’m positive about that it was him I saw in my dream.
Zelda: Me too.

Then Link turned around and saw how concerned Zelda was as she told him more.

Zelda: I’m positive that he symbolizes the dark clothes and the storm in my dream. And his eyes….I’m more than positive now.
Link: What the hell is that man? Great Deku Tree told me a little about him but why does it feels like he’s even worse?
Zelda: Agree. I know he’s worse than the Gerudo-leader of the Gerudos from the west. I can sense it and I can feel his dark ambitions, my dream already told me. I tried to tell my father about my dream but, no! He refused to listen to my warnings several times even my dream.
He’s the reason for the big change around. And he blinded my fathers since and mind completely also the guards.

Then Link saw the big fear in Zelda’s face.

Zelda: And….now I know that this is just the beginning of what’s gonna happen If we don´t stop it. I fear and I know that what he’s after is nothing else than the Triforce. That’s what he really wants out of this.
Link:…..He wants to conquer Hyrule with this! So that’s why he wanted the Spiritual stone Great Deku Tree had. And not only that one, the rest too. But what the hell is he doing here, is he really?…
Zelda: Yes, and that’s probably why he’s been watching me. To be able to open the door he knows that this is what he also needs…

Then Zelda showed Link her Ocarina, the royal family’s treasure.

Link: The Ocarina of Time!
Zelda: And this is why I will protect it with all my power. No way, I will let him have it or our Hyrule. We can’t let him reach the Triforce!

Zelda put then her Ocarina away and then her face showed the big fear again.

Zelda: But I’m also afraid! I can sense his terrible and strong powers and I’m also afraid of what innocent creatures in our land of Hyrule will suffer from it. And that my father won’t believe me makes me even more scared. But this also strengthen my will to somehow stop this! There is a way, I know it! If we could reach the triforce first! If we could get the rest of the Spiritual Stones and open the door we could make it! Please, you have to believe me! For Hyrule and our friends and people, we can make this!
Zelda: I will never doubt this. I witnessed some of his powers and watched Great Deku Tree die cause of him! Do not fear, my princess! Just protect the Ocarina and keep your promise to your mother and wait here for my return. I’m going away to get the rest of the Spiritual Stones! No matter what awaits on my way to there I SHALL and I WILL and I MUST get them! For Hyrule and our friends and everyone. And for you….Mark my words!

Zelda was speechless. Suddenly a big smile of happiness and thankfulness spread across her face. Seeing her becoming so happy made Link smile also. But then suddenly as thanks he got something he never got before and it was by sure the best thing he got so far. Zelda became so happy that she kissed him on his cheek as thanks. It made Link blush and feel very warm and good inside. Zelda also blushed when seeing his reaction. When Link was about to answer he also noticed that someone had come. There at the entrance stood a white haired woman with red eyes and a fighting suit with armour. She looked pretty tough and strong. Link didn’t know what to say when he noticed her. But it was no worry cause of Zelda’s reaction.

Zelda: Impa! I’m so glad that you’re back! Oh, and there also someone I want to introduce you!

The she made Link go to her by just giving a sign by her face. Impa also walked closer to Link and watched him closely.

Impa: The green forest boy from our princess’s dream…

Then she smiled at Link who then felt safer.

Impa: I’m Princess Zelda’s attendant. I am Impa of the Sheikahs.
Link: Very nice to meet you, Impa. I’m Link, I came to see the princess about the stones.
Impa: Did I hear right before that you will embark on a journey to find the rest of the Spiritual Stones?
Link: Indeed! I just heard the details and I’m ready to do something!
Impa: I knew you would! You’re a very courageous young boy! If you’re ready to go I also want to teach you something that will get very useful on your big journey you’re about to go.
The song I’m about to teach you has been passed down by the royal family and has mystical but great powers. Since the death of our queen I have been playing this lullaby for our princess. This is Zelda’s Lullaby!

Link then put his Fairy Ocarina he got from Saria and got ready. Impa then took up her hand and held it close to her mouth and blew out the notes which cause the beautiful and calm melody. Link was surprised of how well he could follow for his first try as he made it.
Impa looked very proud of him and then smiled.

Impa: Let me follow you out of the castle. The guards nowadays are a little disturbing.

But then Zelda came running to them with a letter in her hand.

Zelda: One more thing! Take this Link! Show this one to people who refuses to believe in us.

Link took it and looked at it.

Link: With your autograph they have no choice. Thanks so much, this one will also be useful.

He smiled at her and followed Impa out of Zelda’s little courtyard.

Link: Don´t worry about me, I’ll be back as soon as possible!

He couldn’t stop staring at her as he waved bye to her when he followed Impa. Zelda also couldn’t stop staring. As he disappeared from her sight she still couldn’t stop staring. In that moment she also felt something very strange but very good inside. This meeting was destiny!

Zelda: (I owe you everything Link, my hero!)
