While he hasn't been seen in the story so far, I felt like going ahead and drawing Arenak qos Tanar--the blood-mage who turned against his family, hunted after his niece, and set the whole Shadow Blade chain of events into motion.
This is a sketch that I didn't quite "finish" because it was on a bad place on the paper (wasn't expecting it to work out like it did!). I know there are a lot of things that are wonky...I really don't need a list of them. Still, I am very proud of the face, so I'm posting him as a complete work.
I don't want to actually spoil anything about Arenak, but I'd be curious to know what impression people get of him, as far as character and personality.

His expression seems a mix of thoughtful and menacing - he definitely doesn't look like a good guy. Interesting clothes design though :)
