Perhaps it would be hard to believe, but that is most definitely Dimitri "Dustin" Kazagomi on the right side there. I've been recently redesigning him as a raccoon. As you can tell, I'm still in the process of creating his wears, but this feels like an exciting step, none-the-less.

I've been playing with my art style and still trying to work out that borderline between western and eastern styles as you can see here. I feel like this style made them look more alive and exciting as characters than my previous ones. I might make them a little more fuzzy, but I believe that will mostly work into the coloring if I ever get around to that.

I've come to realize I really enjoy messing with the relationship between Dustin and Yoli. They aren't outright and straightforward. They care for each other as best friends, but the question of there being anything more is left hanging. They don't really know the background of one another, but they are content to remain oblivious to that and cherish what they've been through from the time they met leading into the future.

Will I ever solidly pair them up? Maybe, but probably not. I always think that would ruin them as characters. They're pretty much the best friends who could be more but never go that way. I have learned in the past that pairing can lead to dependent characters and I want these two to keep a solid development over time.

Rufus San Says:

This new style of yours looks like something from someone else I know - but I'm not sure who! D:
I'm quite intrigued to see how this will looked finished, but more so, how your style will change over the next few months. This is a huge change from what you where drawing back in July!

Your style has indeed changed a lot! I would never recognise this as your work, which is a bit sad in a way, but it's also great to see people improving so much. Also, Dustin! (I don't know anything about him, he's just the only character of yours other than Yoli that I've heard of. And he has a very cool name.)
