Glass Tank

We’re all the remnants of Mother
The silent glass tank knows
Your fears, your identity
Haven’t been the same lately
The silent ocean sees
Your tears, your brutality

See the world in blue and green,
Who taught you to swim here?
We…are we,
Dreaming, flying, screaming, dying?

The place we call our soul, turquoise
The silent ocean steals
My dreams, my reality
And now I’m holding on to you, someday
The silent glass swallows
My voice, my mortality

Feeling, in blue and green
The price of freedom?
The sky-blue eyes?
Fly, fly alone,
On a black and broken wing.

Seeing, in blue and green,
Who taught you to drown here?
Who taught you my name here?
Do you remember?
