It's been a long time hasn't it? Yeah I haven't submitted anything in a long time... It was either work or laziness that got to me. Sorry. lol Anyways I'm rather rusty and photoshopping with my new Mac is a bit different than Windows for me so it's getting some time to get used to. So the wallpaper isn't that good. xD Oh well hopefully this will be my boost to make more later. I hope you like it.

This is very pretty, I say you did very well on the background. However, my only bother is that the picture you used doesn't seem to really blend well enough into it. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I think it may be the shadowing on her, there's so much light coming from behind her, and yet it seems so dark in the front. If she's looking at the moon (a light source, although not as bright as a light bulb or sun.), then I don't think it would be as dark towards her face than it is.
I know that you didn't draw it, and all that, so you don't have control of the shading. So there isn't much wrong on your part, I was just letting you know in a case. The picture itself belongs (as in, her pose/stance matches perfectly.), but it doesn't "blend" in well in my honest opinion.
Otherwise, the sky is gorgeous. I love all the stars, and how colorful you made the moon instead of leaving it just plain. I also like the effect you put around her feet. p: Honestly, I think I'd love this background much more if you didn't use the girl, what you've done is gorgeous, but she really bothers me in it. Maybe it's just me, though.
Oh, and, adding more to the shading part. If it means anything, I think that it would help more if the moon wasn't as close to her (so it wouldn't have to be TOO bright on her face), and if there was something lighter than the moon behind her. Then the shading would work perfectly. (:

What I'm about to say right now is in no way against you, people have the right to make whatever they want and if you want to make wallpapers then so be it, I apologize in advance for using your feature as my soapbox:
First, Rayl, couple problems right off the bat
A) Your ego, I don't even know who you are but the fact that a mod on an art site (And I'm using that term very loosely), featured an artist just because you can't feature your own art and theirs was the closest thing to your's pretty much tells everyone that you are not mature enough to host/run anything. The feature is suppose to be a spotlight to the artist, not the people who promote them or suggest them, but the artist and their work, the fact that you threw your self into the mix as though you deserve some credit for the piece to even exist is a very poor way to start off your mod career, you're suppose to be apart of a community, act like it
B) Wallpaper art section? Really? Really?
Like I said before I don't care what people make, but why don't we have a collage section? or Film section? or interpreted dance section? Lets face it, wallpapers really are just fanart, otherwise they'd just be really large pictures, they're the same thing
I just don't understand how Wallpaper is now considered it's own section, it should be a category within other sections, but you ain't gonna listen to me, but I got my two cents in, you read it you can't unread it
PS: Dear wonderful people in charge of SA, is there anyway that you could actually develop a sense of taste? I know this is the internet and all, but there is such a thing called "talent", it's a wonderful thing really, I highly suggest it. I'm just bringing this up cause I dunno about the rest of you but I'm getting tired of the mods half assing their "jobs" and junking the front page for 2 damn weeks (and you guys thought the popular section was bad), but can't we have actual art on here? Fanart, original concepts, whatever, if it's good it deserves to be mentioned. I could link half of my favorites gallery right here featuring some of the best pieces of work I've ever seen on SA from people I've never even talked to, it's a shame the they don't dig deeper for their picks, it's a damn shame
