A watercolour test for a illustration assignment. We were given our choice of a children's story to create an image for.
I chose the Magic Tinderbox. Which, on adult reading, leads me to dislike the main character very much. But the dogs still intrigue me. Depicting a dog with eyes the size of a cart wheels and copenhagen towers that can still be lifted and placed on a apron is a challenge. I ended up circumnavigating it by using an extreme angle.
This is the dog with eyes the size of saucers carrying off the princess on the first night
